Westmark — Kernex | Made in Germany Pitting Tool

Westmark Kernex - The cherry stoner that simplifies cooking

A handful of cherries, one simple motion, no waste. Westmark's Kernex enters the kitchen discreetly - fourteen centimetres of German aluminium - and transforms one of summer's most laborious preparations into a quick, precise ritual.

The Kernex design

Westmark was founded in Germany in 1956, when Hubert Deimel established a company in Deutmecke destined to redefine everyday kitchen utensils. Its motto, Mach's einfach - make it simple - remains the brand's guiding design principle today. The Kernex is a direct expression of it: the one-handed pressure system and star-shaped plunger remove the stone cleanly without damaging the flesh. Its slim, flat shape makes it easy to store in a drawer, ready for cherry season and beyond - it works just as well with fruit with stems, which should be inserted stem-side down for equally effective pitting.
