Spiegelau Nachtmann — Slice | Crystal Vase

Nachtmann Slice - The Geometry of Transparent Crystal

A vase that does more than hold flowers: it redraws the light around itself. The cut surfaces of the Slice series capture rays, break them down, and return them to the space as moving reflections, transforming every corner of the table or shelf into a small luminous theater.

The Slice Design

In 2007, Nachtmann issued a challenge to the prestigious Parsons The New School for Design in New York, one of the most internationally renowned design schools. The winning entry was Viktor Oriya Braginsky's design: a family of objects called Slice, inspired by the idea of clean sections and cuts applied to transparent crystal. The designer's young, American vision merges here with Nachtmann's German manufacturing tradition, giving rise to pieces that balance contemporary art with high-profile production quality. At 22.5 cm, this vase is the most generous size in the series: a striking presence on the dining table, buffet, or any surface that deserves a clearly defined focal point.
