Marushin — Mustard | Pencil and Pen Case

Marushin Mostarda - The Case That Imitates Life

At first glance, it could fool you: the cylindrical shape, the raised details, and the graphics reminiscent of a pantry product label. Marushin's Mostarda case belongs to that category of objects that play with perception, transforming a desk accessory into a small act of everyday irony. Placed on a shelf, next to your monitor, or prominently displayed on a desk, it becomes a detail that catches the eye and sparks conversation.

The Mostarda Project

Marushin built this series around a precise idea: reinterpreting food packaging with artisanal care, transforming the familiarity of food into objects to hold every day. The Mostarda case is a successful example - the printed graphics and embroidered synthetic leather patch come together on a soft-touch surface, creating an object that balances knowing kitsch with pop design. It can hold pens, pencils, brushes, or small makeup accessories: its cylindrical shape makes it versatile without ever sacrificing character.
