Flora is the story of a seat that engages with nature rather than contradicting it. Armchairs and small sofas inspired by the organic shapes of flowers, designed to withstand the elements while maintaining a soft, contemporary elegance. A seating system that invites free configuration, where each piece finds its place according to the rhythm of the space.
The Flora Project
In 2021, Ilenia Viscardi created an innovative response to outdoor comfort: Flora is a modular system of single and double seats, each characterized by curved, enveloping shapes. The structure is entirely padded; the upholstery in technical fabrics specifically designed for outdoor use is removable thanks to black zippers running along the seat and backrest, themselves becoming a graphic element that emphasizes the organic curvature of the design. The detail of the removable "mantle"—made from the same fabric as the structure or in a contrasting fabric—is secured with Velcro and a counterweight, transforming the armchair's formal appearance. A waterproof, breathable polyester cover protects the pieces when not in use, preserving them from exposure to sunlight and the elements.
