Since 1994, this corkscrew designed by Alessandro Mendini has become one of the most beloved and recognizable objects in the Alessi universe - not just a simple utensil, but a character that inhabits the kitchen with irony and grace.

Why we chose it for you

Alessandro Mendini is one of the most refined Italian designers of the 20th century, equally at home in art, architecture, and applied design. With Anna G., he created an object that is both pop and sophisticated: an ironic tribute to a real woman, whose stylized silhouette has become a cult figure over the years, inspiring an entire family of tableware accessories. Alessi - a research workshop in the applied arts founded in 1921 on Lake Orta - is the natural home for an object like this, where function and storytelling blend without giving precedence to either.

Features

Material: Chromed zamak

Dimensions: Width 7 cm, height 24.5 cm

Available colors: Black, light blue, light green, dark red

Designer: Alessandro Mendini

First produced: 1994

Ideal for

A gift that needs no wrapping paper to be recognizable as such - Anna G. is chosen for those who love design without taking themselves too seriously.
