Arti & Mestieri — Shanghai | Made in Italy Coat Rack

Arti & Mestieri Shanghai - The Game Becomes a Wall Feature

Five pegs, a distant inspiration, an everyday gesture that becomes a small ritual. Shanghai is not just a place to hang your coat: it is where the entrance to your home stops being a transitional space and begins to tell something about you. The iron structure is precisely bent, while the wooden pegs offer a warm welcome - together they create a balance that immediately catches the eye.

Why we chose it for you

Arti & Mestieri was founded in 1977 on a clear belief: every useful object also deserves to be beautiful. Founded by Massimo Tani and Alberto Conti, the brand has developed a distinctive style over time - playful, handcrafted, and rooted in Italy's tradition of ironworking. Shanghai embodies all of this: its inspiration from the Chinese game translates into an arrangement of pegs with rhythm and personality, rather than simple accumulation. The iron is worked and painted by hand, while the wooden pegs introduce a natural note that softens the overall design. Available in black, mud, and sand, it adapts to different interior styles without ever losing its character.
