Ambiente — Amedeo | Olive Wood Cutting Board

Ambiente Amedeo - The Cutting Board That Dialogues with Art

Not all kitchen objects know how to tell a story. Ambiente's Amedeo cutting board belongs to that rare category of pieces that, placed on a worktop or leaned against a wall, change the way a space is perceived. Its sinuous, almost anthropomorphic forms evoke sculptural plasticity, transforming an everyday gesture - slicing, preparing, serving - into a small aesthetic ritual.

The Amedeo Design

Amedeo takes its name by evoking the Italian figurative tradition that, from Modigliani to Paladino, has given objects an almost human dimension. The cutting board's silhouette is not accidental: its soft curves, harmonious proportions, and single-material olive wood profile reveal craftsmanship in which the wood is the true protagonist. The natural grain of olive wood - with its knots, warm gray tones, and amber hues - makes every piece different from the next, true to the nature of the material. Amedeo combines with the other pieces in the collection through what Ambiente itself calls an “affective complicity”: objects designed to be together, on the kitchen counter as well as at the table.
