Alessi — Vite PM01/3 WG | Warm Grey espresso maker

There is something inevitable about the form of the Vite. The Alessi espresso coffee maker designed by Philippe Malouin is made of die-cast aluminum in a Warm Grey finish - a warm, almost mineral gray that belongs neither to industrial coolness nor to domestic softness, but inhabits an entirely unique space in between. The gray thermoplastic resin handle and knob complete the silhouette with absolute chromatic coherence, while the magnetic steel base ensures compatibility with every type of cooktop, including induction. An object designed for everyday use that discreetly carries the dignity of its design. Philippe Malouin - a Canadian designer with a studio in London, trained in Montreal, Eindhoven, and Paris - is known for a design approach that prioritizes the physical presence of objects and their ability to be recognizable without shouting. With the Vite, which joined the Alessi collection in the spring/summer season, Malouin reworks the geometry of the traditional moka pot through a contemporary color palette and a formal gestural language that reduces the superfluous to a minimum. The result is a piece that seems always to have been there, on the stovetop, as if it had never needed to be invented. At Stilmobili, we chose the Vite because it represents exactly what we look for: objects capable of bringing function and aesthetic appeal together without giving in to decorativism. It is the right coffee maker for those who furnish the kitchen not as a service room, but as a fully-fledged living space. Three cups - the quintessential household size - for a machine that knows how to take center stage even when it is not in use. Project notes: die-cast aluminum, Warm Grey finish. Handle and knob in thermoplastic resin. Magnetic base, induction-compatible. Capacity 15 cl, three cups. Dimensions: 16 × 10 × 17 cm.
