Alessi — Vigo AMMI30 2 | Polished stainless steel bookends

There is something essential yet playful about Alessi's Vigo: two masses of polished 18/10 stainless steel, capable of transforming a row of books into a sculptural composition. The mirror-like surface captures the light and reflects it back multiplied, while the weight of the material — dense, noble, reassuring — provides the quiet stability every desk deserves. Not merely a functional accessory, but an object that engages in dialogue with the volumes it holds. Vigo was created by Miriam Mirri, a Roman designer with a refined and ironic sensibility, capable of moving effortlessly between industrial design and poetic storytelling. The piece is part of the "A di Alessi" collection, the program that for years has brought together office and home accessories designed by international designers, united by the belief that everyday objects can also convey beauty and meaning. Mirri interprets the bookend not as a containment structure, but as an autonomous sculptural presence — something that stands on its own even when there are no books. At Stilmobili, we chose Vigo because it perfectly represents the tension between function and form that we seek in every piece in our selection. It is designed for those who see the desk as a space for aesthetic care as well as work, for those who do not separate elegance from practicality. A gift of assured taste, an accessory that fits equally well in a professional study or a distinctive home library. Project notes: polished 18/10 stainless steel, dimensions 15.5 × 11 × 23 cm. A di Alessi collection, autumn/winter program.
