Alessi — Vertigo ESA07 | Blown glass Christmas tree topper

There is something hypnotic about looking at the Vertigo tree topper from top to bottom, or perhaps the opposite - from the top of the tree toward the world. The blown glass captures the light and returns it transformed, multiplied, as though every reflection concealed a small universe in rotation. The form gathers the tradition of hand-worked glass and elevates it into something contemporary: not a simple ornament, but a visual focal point capable of giving meaning to the tree's entire composition. Vertigo was created by Elena Salmistraro, a Milanese designer who is among the most original and recognizable voices in the Italian design scene. Her work constantly moves along the boundary between design and visual storytelling, between formal rigor and a fairy-tale imagination. For Alessi - and especially for the Palinsesto fall/winter collection - Salmistraro brings her visionary perspective to even the most intimate domestic rituals, transforming Christmas decoration into a poetic act. Each piece is decorated by hand, which means that no two Vertigo pieces are identical: each carries the unrepeatable gesture of the person who created it. At Stilmobili, we chose Vertigo because it embodies exactly what we look for when we talk about home objects: beauty that does not end with function, but adds meaning. It is the ideal gift for those who are not content simply to decorate the tree, but want every detail to tell a story. For the design collector, the blown-glass enthusiast, and anyone who wants Christmas to bear the signature of an artist. Project notes: height 24.3 cm, diameter 7 cm. Hand-decorated blown glass. Weight 216 g. Each piece is unique by definition.
