alessi-va02-3-coltello-da-tavola-virgil-abloh
Alessi — VA02/3 | Virgil Abloh table knife

There is something deliberately unsettling about the silhouette of the VA02/3 knife: the blade and handle seem intent on presenting themselves as two distinct yet inseparable entities. Made of 18/10 stainless steel, the material par excellence of the Alessi tradition, the utensil carries a formal tension that goes beyond function. The surface reflects light with mirror-like precision, but the eye lingers on deliberately deconstructed proportions, on a profile that never stops prompting questions.
Virgil Abloh - the designer, architect, and creative director who redrew the boundaries between fashion, art, and everyday objects - worked with Alessi on the *Conversational Objects* collection to transform cutlery into cultural manifestos. Abloh, already known for his quote-driven approach and ability to work across seemingly irreconcilable codes, applied to the table the same philosophy that marked his journey from Kanye West to Louis Vuitton: making the strange familiar, and vice versa. The VA02/3 emerges from this dialogue between functionality and concept, between an object for use and a work to contemplate.
At Stilmobili, we chose this knife because it speaks to us of a table setting that is not content simply to be beautiful: it wants to spark conversations. It is the ideal piece for those who inhabit space with critical awareness, for those who want even an everyday gesture - bringing food to the mouth - to contain a thought. An extraordinary gift for anyone who collects contemporary design or simply refuses to settle for the ordinary.
Project notes: length 20.2 cm, 18/10 stainless steel, part of the *Conversational Objects* series in the fall/winter edition. A tableware item that is, first and foremost, a collectible.

Dim X

20.20 cm

Designer

Virgil Abloh

Net Weight

.380 Kg

Width

20.20 cm

Pieces per package

6

Technical documentation

📄 VA02 SET Instructions 11 2022

📄 PS23 Alessi VA02 VA03 Conversational Objects IT

📄 Stainless Steel Cutlery Notice 275x150 Febr2025

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0896/8755/6437/files/01_ab64240f-019f-4e3f-ad5b-1e30e6bf6afe.webp?v=1780929959
