Alessi — Tsumiki ME01 DAZ | Blue metal and resin portable lamp

There is something deeply domestic about the gesture of turning on a light with one's fingertips. Tsumiki makes it almost ritualistic: a touch on the body of the lamp - metal and thermoplastic resin in a blue that varies from cobalt to ink depending on the ambient light - and the mood of the room changes. The capacitive dimmer responds to pressure as living matter does, without switches or visible mechanisms. The slender vertical form, with that proportion between base and stem reminiscent of certain sculptural toys from the Japanese tradition, rests on any surface with the naturalness of an object that has always been there. The name itself is a statement of poetics: *tsumiki* in Japanese refers to children's building blocks, those elementary wooden solids with which one builds, tears down, and rebuilds. MEDUM, the creative duo behind this project, works precisely on that threshold - between the simplicity of form and the complexity of intention - translating into everyday objects a sensibility that looks to the East without ever imitating it. At Stilmobili, we chose Tsumiki because it represents what we look for in the objects we bring into our store: usefulness that does not give up beauty, technology that does not show itself. It is the right lamp for those who carefully equip their space - a work desk, a bedside table, a shelf in the dimly lit living room. It works anywhere there is a place to stop and stay. Charging takes place via USB-C, the battery is integrated, and the 3.5W LED light provides generous battery life without ever becoming intrusive. Dimensions: 16.4 × 11 × 33.7 cm. An object you can carry with you, or simply leave alone, and it is already enough.
