Alessi — Tronchetto ITM23 | Branzi stainless steel and wood vase

There is something radically quiet about Andrea Branzi's Il Tronchetto: an 18/10 stainless steel cylinder rising vertically, almost austere, supported by a wooden base that brings everything back to the earth, to living matter. The proportions - 28 centimeters wide and 30.5 high - do not seek monumentality, yet achieve it. It is an object that transforms a cut flower into a statement, turning the everyday act of placing it in a vase into a small gesture of style. Andrea Branzi was one of the most radical and enduring voices in Italian design: founder of Archizoom in the 1960s, a theorist of weak design, capable of spanning decades without ever ceasing to question the boundary between object and culture. Il Tronchetto was created as part of the *Il Tornitore Matto* collection - a project that brought the aesthetic of artisanal turning, of the industrialized one-off piece, to the world of Alessi, where wood and metal converse as in an old atelier reinterpreted in a contemporary key. The result is an object that seems to have emerged from a research laboratory, yet belongs perfectly to domestic life. We chose it for Stilmobili because it represents exactly what we look for: a furnishing accessory equally at home in a design office or a carefully curated living room, without ever loudly announcing its presence. It is ideal for those who collect objects with a real story behind them, for those who understand that a vase is not just a vase but an idea of space and care. Project notes: 18/10 stainless steel, wooden base, dimensions 28 × 8 × 30.5 cm. *Il Tornitore Matto* collection, Alessi. Design by Andrea Branzi.
