Alessi — Trama ESA01 4 | Salmistraro gold-plated stainless steel necklace

There is something ancestral and, at the same time, futuristic in the way Trama unfolds across the body. The necklace is formed from a composition of steel links with a gold-colored PVD coating, hypoallergenic and durable, capturing light with the discretion of a handcrafted jewel and the precision of a finely manufactured industrial object. The structure - 35 centimeters wide and 11 centimeters deep - embraces the décolleté with an architectural gesture, almost as if it were a fragment of wall texture translated into personal adornment. Elena Salmistraro is one of the most original voices in contemporary Italian design: a Milanese designer, trained at the Politecnico, whose studio moves effortlessly between product design, ceramics, illustration, and installation. Her approach is distinctive - narrative, tactile, and rich in visual symbolism - and in Trama it emerges in the interweaving of elements that evoke weaving, embroidery, and the memory of decorative patterns from the applied arts. The piece was created as part of the Alessi Palinsesto collection, dedicated to design jewelry: a field in which the Crusinallo-based brand brings the same philosophy it has always applied to household objects, namely the belief that well-designed beauty should become part of everyday life. We chose Trama because it perfectly embodies our idea of ornament: not a seasonal accessory, but an object to cherish.
