Alessi — Toru NE03RA B | Nendo toaster tongs, black

There is something subtly ritualistic about the act of removing a slice of toast: a small, everyday moment that nevertheless reveals the quality of the objects around us. Alessi's Toru tongs transform this gesture into a formally conscious experience. Made of steel and black thermoplastic resin, the two pairs of tongs stand out for their clean, precise silhouette, where the lightness of the graphic line combines with the solidity of the materials. The matte black resin engages with the metal with the discretion that separates successful design from mere decoration. Toru was born from the collaboration between Alessi and Nendo, the Japanese design studio founded by Oki Sato, one of the most refined and recognizable voices on the contemporary international scene. Nendo brings its unmistakable signature to the project: reduction, synthesis, and the ability to find an almost invisible elegance in everyday objects. The name itself - Toru, which means "to take" or "to grasp" in Japanese - conveys the functional essence of the piece with haiku-like precision. At Stilmobili, we chose Toru because it represents exactly what we believe in: design that does not show off, but quietly transforms the quality of living. It is the ideal object for those who attend to every detail of the kitchen not for ostentation, but for aesthetic consistency. A gift of rare relevance for those who love Japan, essential form, or simply good design. Project notes: set consisting of two pairs of tongs, steel structure with a black heat-resistant thermoplastic resin handle. Dimensions: 29 × 10 × 20 cm. Alessi Palinsesto autumn/winter collection.
