Alessi — Toru NE03 B | Black stainless steel toaster by Nendo

There is something hypnotic about Toru's geometry: a compact, resolute volume clad in 18/10 stainless steel and black thermoplastic resin, transforming the most everyday gesture - lowering a lever, waiting for the heat, retrieving a golden slice - into a small design ritual. The dark finish absorbs the kitchen light and returns it as a silent, almost sculptural presence. Nothing is superfluous, nothing is overlooked. Toru was born from the collaboration between Alessi and Nendo, the studio founded by Japanese designer Oki Sato, one of the most refined voices in the international design scene. Nendo's philosophy is to find the moment of wonder hidden in ordinary things - that small “!” that lights up when an object reveals an unexpected logic, a perfect proportion, or a detail that changes everything. In Toru, this translates into an exceptionally clean silhouette, where function is never betrayed by form but instead becomes its origin. At Stilmobili, we chose the Toru because it represents what we look for in every object: the ability to elevate everyday life without sacrificing substance. It is the toaster for those who do not separate the kitchen from the living room, for those who consider the countertop an aesthetic space just as much as a dining table. Ideal paired with a designer kitchen, it makes a discreet statement against the black or anthracite material palettes so sought-after in contemporary interiors. Project notes: power 775–925W, dimensions 32 × 25,5 × 19 cm, European plug. 18/10 stainless steel with thermoplastic resin elements. Alessi collection, autumn/winter lineup.
