Alessi — Toru NE01 B | Nendo stainless steel electric kettle

There is something almost ceremonial about the act of boiling water. Toru knows this and transforms it into a small domestic ritual of rare elegance. The 18/10 stainless steel body captures the light with the saturated, quiet quality characteristic of well-crafted materials, while the handle, lid, and distinctive black thermoplastic resin spout create a sharp, almost graphic color contrast. The silhouette is both familiar and surprising: recognizable in its function, unexpected in its form. Toru was born from a collaboration between Alessi and Nendo, the studio founded by Japanese designer Oki Sato, one of the most original voices in contemporary international design. Nendo is known for a subtle, precise poetics - the ability to intervene in everyday objects with minimal variations that produce maximum effects. In Toru, this sensitivity translates into proportions studied down to the millimeter: the long, angled spout, the pressure-fit lid, and the ergonomic handle designed for a secure grip even at full capacity, up to 1.7 liters. At Stilmobili, we chose Toru because it tells exactly what we look for in every piece: design that is not exhausted by appearance, but finds its purpose in everyday use. It is the ideal kettle for those who consider the kitchen a place of culture as well as practicality - for those who do not accept that an appliance should be invisible or banal, and prefer every object on the worktop to have something to say.
