Alessi — Tonale DC03/54 DC03/54 LG | Light Grey stoneware bowl

There is something ancient and, at the same time, thoroughly modern in the way Tonale rests on the table. The small light grey stoneware ceramic bowl carries with it the memory of the earth, slow firing, and a material that retains heat and returns warmth to the hands that hold it. The surface has that matte, quiet density that only stoneware can provide, a sincere materiality that invites touch, pause, and the daily ritual of the table. Tonale was created in 2010 from a design by David Chipperfield, an internationally renowned British architect - Pritzker Prize 2023 - who has always been attentive to the dialogue between formal rigor and contextual sensitivity. For Alessi, Chipperfield designed one of the rare ceramic collections produced by the Crusinallo manufacturing facility: a coordinated system of pieces in which the geometry is clean but never cold, essential yet capable of evoking the tradition of European artisanal ceramics. The bowl is round and compact, with a profile that rises naturally without decorative excess. At Stilmobili, we chose Tonale because it embodies a vision of living that is deeply our own: one in which beauty is found in everyday life, in the objects used every day that become familiar over time, almost essential. It is the ideal bowl for those who love to set the table with taste without ostentation, for those seeking aesthetic consistency from one piece to the next, and for those who recognize grey as the most sophisticated color for the contemporary table. Project notes: stoneware ceramic, matte light grey finish, diameter 15 cm, capacity 60 cl. Suitable for breakfast, mise en place, and dessert. Can be coordinated with the entire Tonale DC03 collection.
