Alessi — Tonale DC03/22 DC03/22SLG | Stoneware serving plate gr

There is a mineral quietness in Tonale's light grey that recalls surfaces shaped by time - stone worn smooth by water, earth baked by the sun on a summer afternoon. The DC03/22 serving platter has an elongated, gently arched form, almost a restrained gesture. The stoneware ceramic offers a soft roughness to the touch, an honest density that tells the story of the raw material without embellishment. Thirty-six centimetres in length, enough to hold an entire serving, a culinary idea, a composition. Tonale was born from the vision of David Chipperfield, an internationally renowned British architect known for a poetic approach that combines structural rigor with sensitivity to materials. His approach to architecture - where form and function dissolve into one another without fracture - is transferred intact to the design of this collection for Alessi. Chipperfield chose stoneware because it carries both artisanal memory and contemporary resilience: a material unafraid of everyday use, yet one that acquires the dignity of a permanent object on the table. At Stilmobili, we chose Tonale because it represents exactly what we look for: objects that do not shout about their beauty but reveal it slowly, over the course of convivial moments. The DC03/22 serving platter is designed for those who arrange the table as one designs a space - with consistency, attention to volume, and respect for the quiet presence of beautiful things. It is part of an expandable family, ideal for a contemporary table setting that does not forgo cultural depth. Project notes: stoneware ceramic, matte Light Grey finish. Dimensions 36 × 17 × 2.7 cm.
