Alessi — To MMI24 | Miriam Mirri bone china mug

There is something deeply familiar about the shape of a mug, yet Miriam Mirri's "To" manages to make it new. Made of bone china - fine porcelain enriched with kaolin and bone ash, known for its silky translucence and almost weightless lightness - this 30 cl cup has the exact weight of a moment of pause. The surface is smooth, the silhouette clean, and the proportions designed to feel comfortable in both a large and a small hand. Bringing it to your lips is a gesture performed without thinking, and this naturalness is no accident. Miriam Mirri, a Roman designer with a poetic and ironic sensibility, has always explored the boundary between an object for everyday use and a small domestic narrative. Her work for Alessi - a brand that has made dialogue between industry and cultural design its raison d'être - belongs to a tradition of pieces that do not merely function, but inhabit spaces with a discreet and precise presence. "To" belongs to the Palinsesto autumn/winter collection, a season in which the ritual of a hot beverage once again becomes central. We chose "To" for Stilmobili because it embodies exactly what we seek in kitchen and tableware accessories: authentic material quality, recognizable yet unostentatious design, and the ability to transform an everyday gesture into a small act of care. It is the ideal gift for those who appreciate the difference between just any cup and a thoughtfully designed cup - for those who drink American coffee, afternoon tea, or simply want every object on their desk or in their kitchen to have a story to tell. Project notes: bone china, capacity 30 cl, dimensions 10.5 × 10 × 12 cm. Designed by Miriam Mirri for Alessi.
