Alessi — The Tending Box GIA27 | Iacchetti double bar strainer

There is an ancient gesture in straining a cocktail: the wrist turning, the ice holding back, the liquid flowing clear into the glass. Alessi's The Tending Box transforms this ritual into an object of precision and understated beauty. Made of 18/10 stainless steel - the material of choice in the great Alessi tradition - the double bar strainer combines professional functionality with a formal purity that commands attention even when at rest, on the counter or in a neatly organized drawer. The project was born from the collaboration between Giulio Iacchetti and Oscar Quagliarini, two complementary voices in contemporary Italian design. Iacchetti, already a winner of the Compasso d'Oro, brings to this tool his sensitivity for everyday objects elevated into small architectures for the hand. Together with Quagliarini, he creates a piece belonging to the Alessi Palinsesto spring/summer collection: a line designed for those who view the ritual of drinking as a complete aesthetic experience, not merely a gustatory one. At Stilmobili, we chose The Tending Box because it condenses the entire philosophy that guides our selection into ten centimeters of diameter: objects that do their job well and, in doing so, add something visible and precious to the gesture. It is the ideal accessory for anyone who arranges a home bar with the same care reserved for a bookcase or an art collection. For the home mixologist who refuses to compromise. Project notes: 18/10 stainless steel, diameter 10.20 cm, height 4.90 cm. Net weight 250 g. Designed by Giulio Iacchetti and Oscar Quagliarini for Alessi.
