Alessi — Sunflake GJ02 7 | Blown glass Christmas decoration

There is something ancient and precious about blown glass meeting Christmas: a luminous fragility, a reflection that captures the light like fresh snow on a windowsill. Sunflake is a Christmas decoration made of blown glass, worked and hand-decorated, a small object suspended between the tradition of festive ornaments and the more unpredictable, playful language of contemporary visual research. Within its compact dimensions - ten centimetres in diameter and five in depth - lies all the poetry of a snowflake imagined by two extraordinary minds. Sunflake was created through a collaboration between Massimo Giacon and Marcello Jori, a creative duo that Alessi has skillfully showcased within the Alessi Palinsesto collection, a laboratory for aesthetic experimentation that brings together art, comics, graphics, and auteur design. Giacon and Jori bring their hybrid sensibility to the project, shaped by pop culture, sophisticated references, and light irony: the result is an unforgettable object, capable of bringing its own distinctive personality to the Christmas tree, far removed from the more conventional styles of Christmas décor. We at Stilmobili chose it because we believe that seasonal decorations deserve the same care and story we devote to a piece of furniture or a lamp. Sunflake is the perfect gift for those who collect objects with a soul, for those who want a Christmas where every detail tells a story. It is also ideal as a gift for enthusiasts of Italian design and for those who already know and love the world of Alessi. As an end-of-line item, it is destined to become a small object to treasure. Project notes: blown glass, entirely hand-decorated, dimensions 10 × 5 × 10 cm, weight 133 g. End-of-line item, limited availability.
