Alessi — Ship Shape ASG13 B | Black resin table container

There is something irresistibly playful about Ship Shape's silhouette: a shape that evokes the sea, sailing, and the very idea of travel condensed into a table object. The glossy black thermoplastic resin container is compact and self-assured, capable of holding salt, spices, or condiments with the nonchalance of objects that are not afraid to stand out. The 18/10 stainless steel spatula — precise, slim, perfectly balanced — completes the set with a material contrast that is already, in itself, a statement of style. Ship Shape was born from the creative collaboration between Stefano Giovannoni and Paul Van Iersel Harry, two design sensibilities that share the same faith in the power of playful forms applied to everyday objects. The piece is part of the **A di Alessi** collection, an editorial space where the Crusinallo Factory brings together designs capable of combining material accessibility with authentic formal research — without ever sacrificing the subtle irony that has characterized the best of Italian design for decades. At Stilmobili, we chose Ship Shape because it represents exactly what we look for when selecting a table accessory: not a simple utensil, but a small design gesture that transforms even the most everyday meal into a moment of aesthetic care. It is ideal for those who love a contemporary, minimalist table setting, where every element is intentional rather than random. Design notes: compact dimensions (15.5 × 8.5 × 15.5 cm) for a presence that is anything but timid. Black thermoplastic resin, 18/10 stainless steel spatula. A di Alessi collection, autumn/winter lineup.
