Alessi — Shhh MW71 5 I | Marcel Wanders incense, 20 sticks

There is a time of day when the home calls for silence. Shhh was created precisely for that moment: twenty incense sticks contain a fragrance designed to transform the air in a room into something intangible yet present, like a threshold between the noise of the world and the peace rediscovered. The fragrance bears the name of a whispered instruction - an invitation, not a command - and spreads slowly, unhurriedly, enveloping spaces with the same grace with which one's voice is lowered. Shhh is a project by Marcel Wanders, the Dutch designer who is one of the most recognizable figures on the contemporary scene: known for his poetic and theatrical approach to design, he moves effortlessly between functional objects and emotional storytelling. The collaboration with Alessi - a company that for decades has made the boundary between design and everyday life its chosen territory - takes the form here of an olfactory offering that shares the seasonal character of the rest of the Alessi Palinsesto collection, conceived to accompany the autumn and winter months, when the home closes around us and becomes a refuge. At Stilmobili, we chose Shhh because we believe that properly understood, design is not only about what can be seen or touched. Smell is the oldest and most direct sense. This product is for those who care for their home as a lived-in space rather than merely a furnished one, for those who know that an atmosphere is also created through the invisible. A refined gift, or a small personal luxury. Project notes: 20 incense sticks, Shhh fragrance. Package height 27.5 cm. Designer: Marcel Wanders. Alessi Palinsesto Collection, autumn/winter season.
