Alessi — SD01 | Dalí vase, silver and olive wood multiple

There is something profoundly unsettling yet hypnotic about the SD01: a vase that is not exactly a vase, an object that questions its own usefulness in the very name it was given - *Objet inutile, sur un problème de topologie négative*. Made of 925 silver, 24-karat gold-plated brass, and olive wood, this precious multiple inhabits space with the same dreamlike logic that governed the dreams painted by its creator: forms that contradict one another, surfaces that seem to yield under the weight of the impossible, a stage presence capable of disorienting and seducing in equal measure. The piece is inspired by Salvador Dalí, the Catalan genius of Surrealism who, throughout his career, never stopped crossing the boundaries between art, object, and intellectual provocation. Alessi has translated his visionary universe into a collector's multiple of rare coherence: 99 numbered pieces and 3 artist's proofs, each a silent statement about the very nature of design - what is useful, what is form, where one ends and the other begins. At Stilmobili, we chose the SD01 because it perfectly embodies what we seek in the rarest editions: the meeting of the highest level of artisanal craftsmanship and radical thought. It is the ideal piece for those who collect design as they collect art, for those who want an object to tell a story that extends beyond the room in which it is placed. Project notes: 925 silver, 24-karat gold-plated brass, olive wood. Dimensions 33 × 13 × 12.5 cm. Limited series of 99 numbered pieces + 3 artist's proofs. Alessi Palinsesto Collection.
