Alessi — Sarrià 90084 | Round basket in stainless steel

There is a quiet quality to 18/10 stainless steel when it is crafted with restraint and intention: it reflects light without flaunting it, occupying space without imposing itself. Alessi's Sarrià basket has exactly this presence - a generous 27.5-centimeter-diameter disc of polished metal, with a contained height that makes it both a tray and a centerpiece, a receptacle for objects and a backdrop for compositions. Its unadorned round shape is an act of faith in the purity of the industrial gesture. Lluís Clotet, a Barcelona architect who trained alongside key figures of Catalan rationalism and later became a leading figure in the most sophisticated Mediterranean design, brings the same economy of means that distinguishes his architecture to this piece. Sarrià - the name of an old Barcelona district, now absorbed into the city but still the guardian of its own identity - was not chosen by chance: it evokes belonging, rootedness, and the dignity of everyday things elevated into a culture of living. At Stilmobili, we chose Sarrià because it precisely represents the kind of object we love to offer: one that does not shout its presence but builds it over time, through use and in relation to the other elements on a table or shelf. It is ideal for those who furnish with a discerning eye, seeking functionality without giving up a form that withstands trends. Project notes: 18/10 stainless steel, diameter 27.5 cm, height 6.5 cm.
