Alessi — Santiago DC05/3 | Chipperfield table knife

There is an almost architectural precision in the way Santiago presents itself on the table. The table knife from the collection of the same name, designed by David Chipperfield, is an object that does not seek ornament: it finds it in its proportions, in the weight carefully distributed along its 21 centimetres, and in the 18/10 stainless steel surface that reflects light without ostentation. Holding it is an experience reminiscent of the quiet solidity of a well-resolved construction detail. David Chipperfield - world-renowned British architect, known for extraordinary museum projects such as Berlin's Neues Museum - brings to his design for Alessi the same formal grammar that governs his buildings: rigor, continuity, and an absence of excess. Santiago emerges from this vision, in which every curve is necessary and every joint is resolved. The collaboration with the Crusinallo factory is part of Alessi's long tradition of involving major names in international architecture in the design of everyday objects, elevating them into manifestos of material culture. At Stilmobili, we chose Santiago because it embodies exactly what we seek for our clients' tables: not the object that demands attention, but the one you would never want to remove. It is the ideal cutlery for those who enjoy entertaining discreetly, for those who already have everything and seek quality that can be perceived without having to explain it. A natural choice for contemporary, minimalist interiors, where detail is the silent protagonist. Project notes: 18/10 stainless steel, length 21 cm. Part of the Santiago collection, available as a complete set. Alessi permanent collection, autumn/winter range.
