Alessi — Santa Cube GJ02 1 | Blown glass Christmas decoration

A cube of light suspended between irony and wonder. Santa Cube is a blown-glass Christmas decoration, entirely crafted and painted by hand by master glassmakers: each piece is unique, bearing small imperfections that certify its handcrafted origin and multiply its charm. The geometric shape - unexpected, almost provocative in the context of Christmas traditions - engages in dialogue with the pictorial decorations that inhabit it, creating an object capable of surprising even the most experienced eye. Behind Santa Cube are Massimo Giacon and Marcello Jori, a creative duo with an unmistakably pop and narrative style. Both coming from the world of illustration and Italy's most vibrant visual culture, the two designers collaborated with Alessi, bringing an estranging and playful perspective to the Christmas collection, far from the rhetoric of conventional Christmas. The result is an object that does not simply decorate the tree: it transforms it into a miniature art gallery. We at Stilmobili chose it because it perfectly embodies the tension between high and low, between craftsmanship and contemporary visual culture, that lies at the heart of Alessi's offering. Santa Cube is the ideal gift for those who collect objects with a story to tell, for those who want even seasonal decorations to have character and memory. It is designed for those who are not satisfied with the obvious kind of beauty. Project notes: Blown glass, hand-applied decoration. Dimensions 5.5 × 5.5 × 9.5 cm.
