Alessi — Rundes Modell JH01/1H | Hoffmann dinner spoon

There is something hypnotic about the perfection of the circle. The Rundes Modell table spoon carries that primary geometry with it as a cultural gesture before it is a functional one: the surface of the 18/10 stainless steel captures light uniformly, while the profiles close with a formal consistency that allows no weakness. Held in the hand, it offers the right weight, the exact balance between elegance and solidity - qualities that only great designs can calibrate effortlessly. Behind this spoon is Josef Hoffmann, Viennese architect and designer, co-founder of the Wiener Werkstätte in 1903 and one of the clearest thinkers in the entire European applied arts movement. Hoffmann believed in the unity of the total work of art - the Gesamtkunstwerk - and in the idea that every household object, from cutlery to room divider, should express the same compositional discipline. The circular motif that gives the Rundes Modell collection its name is his most recognizable signature: a formal vocabulary that has crossed the twentieth century without ever growing old. Officina Alessi, a laboratory of research and a repository of international design memory, chose to restore to this project the productive dignity it deserves. At Stilmobili, we selected this spoon because it represents exactly what we look for: objects with a story to tell, telling it every day, silently, simply by existing on the table. It is the right choice for those who set a table with critical awareness, who want every detail to coexist with a coherent aesthetic, and who recognize in Viennese design a modernity that remains unresolved and fascinating. Project notes: 18/10 stainless steel, length 21 cm, net weight 70 g. Officina Alessi Collection. Original design by Josef Hoffmann.
