Alessi — Roost AGO01 | Double aluminum egg cup

There is something disarming about Roost's simplicity: a tiny object, just four and a half centimeters on each side, yet capable of transforming the most everyday gesture - opening an egg at breakfast - into a small formal ritual. Made of polished aluminum, Adam Goodrum's double egg cup holds the eggs in a geometry that seems designed to minimize every superfluous element, allowing the material and form to speak to each other silently on the set table. Adam Goodrum is one of the most interesting Australian designers of his generation, moving effortlessly between the culture of European design and an artisanal sensibility rooted in the Asia-Pacific region. His work for Alessi belongs to that tradition of domestic objects that the Crusinallo brand has always known how to enhance: pieces that appear functional but, on closer inspection, conceal a precise reflection on the relationship between body, gesture, and object. Roost - "perch" in English, the place where birds rest - is not a random name: there is something organic, something natural, in the idea of a support that holds and protects. At Stilmobili, we chose Roost because it represents exactly what we look for in tableware: that rare ability to be both functional and evocative. It is the ideal gift for those who appreciate a beautifully set table, even in its most intimate details, for those who consider breakfast a quality moment rather than an indulgence in haste. A collectible piece in the most literal sense of the term. Project notes: double egg cup in aluminum, designed by Adam Goodrum for Alessi. Dimensions: 4.5 × 4.5 × 4.5 cm. Net weight: 180 g.
