Alessi — Quadrangelo GJ02 14 | Blown glass Christmas decoration

There is something unexpected about Quadrangelo: a geometric form, almost austere in its rationality, that becomes an object of pure wonder through the transparency and breath of the glass. Each piece is born from the age-old tradition of mouth-blown craftsmanship, then comes alive under the hands of the decorators, who interpret it with pigments and details applied one by one. The result is a small prism of light, capable of capturing the reflections of Christmas lights and returning them multiplied, altered, and surprising. Quadrangelo is signed by Massimo Giacon and Marcello Jori, a creative duo who have developed their own poetic language at the intersection of pop culture, auteur comics, and conceptual design. Both belong to the generation that redrew the boundary between applied art and industrial production, bringing to Alessi a deliberately hybrid perspective, capable of being ironic and refined at the same time. Their collaboration with the House of Crusinallo takes shape here in an object that challenges the rhetoric of sentimental Christmas, proposing a more intellectual version, almost playful in its formal composure. We chose Quadrangelo for those who consider the Christmas tree an aesthetic project, not a tradition to be fulfilled. It is the ideal ornament for those who love collecting objects with a signature, and for those seeking a design gift capable of telling a story even out of season. Listed in the catalog as an end-of-series piece, over time it acquires that quiet rarity belonging to objects destined to become small shelf classics. Project notes: mouth-blown glass, hand decoration. Dimensions 8 × 8.5 × 8 cm. Weight 133 g. Fall/winter edition, end of series.
