Alessi — Pulcina MDL02/3BFM | 3-cup espresso coffee maker by De Lucchi

There is something tender and precise about the Pulcina at the same time. Its shape evokes a little bird just settled on the heat - hence the name - with its pointed beak that pours, rounded wings that protect, and cast aluminum body that retains heat with the discretion of someone who knows what they are doing. It is not simply a coffee maker. It is an object that changes the rhythm of the morning, transforming an everyday gesture into something worth watching. Michele De Lucchi, one of the undisputed masters of contemporary Italian design, created the Pulcina with the explicit intention of solving an age-old problem: moka coffee burning in the last second, when steam takes over from the liquid. The Pulcina's internal spout was redesigned with almost scientific precision - it automatically interrupts the flow before the steam reaches the cup, delivering a cleaner, less bitter, surprisingly smooth espresso. A simple idea, like the best ideas. At Stilmobili, we chose the Pulcina because it represents exactly what we look for when selecting an object for the kitchen: beauty that is not ornament, but a form that follows - and improves - function. It is ideal for those who take coffee seriously, for whom furnishings and everyday life must interact without compromise, and for those who give gifts with taste and want the gift to be used every day.
