Alessi — Pulcina MDL02/3 MDL02/3RFM | Aluminum espresso coffee maker

There is something tender and precise about the name Pulcina: it evokes fragility and vitality at once, a balance fully reflected in the form of this coffee maker. Cast aluminum shapes a soft, almost animated silhouette, in which the bright red polyamide handle and knob interrupt the metallic gray with a flash of color that is already a statement of intent. It is not merely a kitchen object - it is a presence on the stovetop, something recognizable even from a distance, even early in the morning. The design bears the signature of Michele De Lucchi, one of the most prominent Italian architects and designers of his generation, a central figure in the Memphis movement of the 1980s and later a leading voice in a more intimate and humanistic formal exploration. With Pulcina, De Lucchi engages with one of the most deeply rooted archetypes in Italian domestic culture - the moka pot - giving it a new, rounded body without sharp edges, as if the coffee maker had always wanted to look this way and had only now found the right form. The bird's-beak spout - hence the name - is designed to reduce gurgling and pour coffee precisely, without drips. Pulcina is one of those pieces that Stilmobili chooses because it brings together function and character without compromise. It is ideal for those who love the ritual of making coffee at home and want every element of that ritual to have aesthetic dignity. Its magnetic steel base makes it compatible with induction cooktops - provided that the minimum activatable diameter is at least 90 mm - as well as traditional heat sources. Project notes: capacity for 3 cups (15 cl), dimensions 15.2 × 9.2 × 20 cm. Cast aluminum body, red polyamide handle and knob, magnetic steel base. Compatible with induction, gas, electric, and glass-ceramic cooktops.
