Alessi — Pulcina MDL02/3 MDL02/3 BB | Aluminum espresso maker

There is something alive about the Pulcina. Its profile is unmistakable: the spout tucked in like a small beak, the rounded body that retains heat, the rounded knob that naturally invites the hand to grasp it. Made of black cast aluminum, with a handle and knob in polyamide in the same shade, it is an object that conveys character even before it is used. On the kitchen counter, even when idle, it has a presence. It was designed by Michele De Lucchi, one of the most influential architects and designers in the contemporary Italian scene, co-founder of Memphis and author of iconic works for the biggest European design brands. With the Pulcina, De Lucchi approached the moka pot as if it were the first time: he redesigned the brewing chamber to optimize the flow of water, worked on the spout to prevent drips, and refined every proportion because coffee - real, Italian coffee - deserved a tool worthy of it. The result is an object that is both functional and poetic, capable of transforming an everyday gesture into a small design ritual. We at Stilmobili chose it because it represents exactly what we look for: excellence that does not shout, form that serves function without sacrificing beauty. It is the perfect gift for anyone who loves coffee with the same intensity as they love well-made objects. Suitable for those who furnish with rigor and attention to detail, and for anyone who wants their kitchen to have a coherent aesthetic as well. Project notes: capacity 3 cups (15 cl), dimensions 15.2 × 9.2 × h 20 cm. Cast aluminum body, heat-resistant polyamide handle and knob. Alessi collection, designed by Michele De Lucchi.
