Alessi — Pulcina | de Lucchi Design Coffee Maker

Alessi Pulcina - The Coffee Ritual, Rethought from Within

There is a precise moment when coffee reaches its purest expression: Pulcina was created to capture it. Designed by Michele de Lucchi for Alessi, this coffee maker does not merely contain the morning ritual - it perfects it. Its carefully designed boiler automatically stops the brewing process at the right moment, eliminating the so-called Strombolian phase: that bitter tail that clouds the aftertaste and that, without realizing it, we have always accepted as inevitable.

Why We Chose It for You

Since 1921, Alessi has been a research laboratory in the field of applied arts, capable of transforming everyday objects into conversations between form and function. Pulcina is its most convincing demonstration: it is not simply a redesigned moka pot, but the result of extensive research into the organoleptic properties of coffee. The V-shaped spout retains every remaining drop, while the cast aluminum body distributes heat precisely. An object that works silently but makes a difference you can taste in the cup.
