Alessi — Proust AM43SET3 | Blown glass Christmas baubles

Three blown-glass spheres enclosing a universe. The balls in Alessandro Mendini's Proust collection are not simple Christmas ornaments: they are fragments of an unmistakable decorative vocabulary, where color and line intertwine in hand-painted compositions, one by one, with the patience characteristic of fine craftsmanship. The glass, warm and slightly imperfect as tradition dictates, captures the light of the tree and reflects it back multiplied, transforming every glimmer into a story. Alessandro Mendini - architect, theorist, and spirit of Italian Postmodernism - spent decades shaping design with the conviction that beauty should never have to justify itself. The Proust collection, named after the great French writer as a tribute to memory and lost time regained, is one of his longest-standing collaborations with Alessi: a dialogue between cultured irony and pure ornament, between design culture and the instinctive pleasure of form. These spheres embody that same philosophy: small total objects capable of condensing an entire aesthetic into six centimeters in diameter. We chose to include the Proust set in our assortment because it embodies exactly what we seek for our clients' homes: objects with a story to tell even after the holidays, deserving to be carefully preserved and rediscovered every winter, like rereading the pages of a beloved book. Ideal for those who consider the Christmas tree an act of style, not routine. Project notes: set consisting of three hand-decorated blown-glass balls. Diameter: 6 cm. Net weight: 148 g. Alessi Palinsesto fall/winter collection. End-of-line item - limited availability.
