Alessi — Proust AM43 3 | Mendini blown glass Christmas bauble

There is something deeply moving about a blown-glass sphere that captures winter light and returns it multiplied, transformed, almost memorial-like. Alessi's Proust bauble - entirely hand-decorated by skilled glass artisans - belongs to that rare category of objects that do not merely adorn: they evoke. Its nine-centimeter diameter contains a dense chromatic universe, in which the decorator's gesture leaves a visible, unrepeatable trace, like a fingerprint on time. The name is not accidental. Alessandro Mendini, one of the most visionary and literary thinkers in Italian design, chose to evoke Marcel Proust - the great narrator of involuntary memory, of time rediscovered in the smallest things - for a collection of Christmas decorations that aspires to turn the festive space into a place of shared memory and beauty. Mendini, founder of *Domus* and *Modo*, theorist of "redesign" and ornament as a critical language, brings to this small sphere the same poetic complexity that animated all his research: decoration is not a surface, but thought. At Stilmobili, we chose Proust because it embodies exactly what we look for in our homes: objects that tell a story, stand the test of time, and become memories. It is the ideal gift for anyone who wants to give not just a simple ornament, but a piece designed by one of the undisputed masters of 20th-century Italian design. Listed as *end of series*, purchasing it today means preserving a fragment of design history. Project notes: hand-decorated blown glass, diameter 9 cm, net weight 130 g. Alessi Palinsesto autumn/winter collection. Piece being permanently discontinued.
