Alessi — Pots&Pans AJM300 | 18/10 stainless steel colander

There is something profoundly honest about the form of a colander. No embellishment, no concession to decoration for its own sake: only the necessary geometry, the steel reflecting the kitchen light, the sound of water flowing through the grid. Alessi's AJM300 is exactly this — a tool conceived with rigor, made of polished 18/10 stainless steel, capable of transforming an everyday gesture into something resembling the satisfaction of a job well done. The design bears the signature of Jasper Morrison, the British designer who has made "super normal" an aesthetic philosophy recognized throughout the world. Morrison works through subtraction: he eliminates what is unnecessary, refines what remains, and restores their quiet dignity to everyday objects. Born within Alessi's A Collection — an editorial project bringing together pieces intended for everyday cooking without sacrificing the manufacturing quality of the Crusinallo Factory — the Pots&Pans colander embodies this vision with exemplary consistency. We chose it for Stilmobili because it belongs to that rare category of objects that do not need to be noticed to be appreciated. It is the right piece for anyone who furnishes the kitchen with the same care given to the living room, and for those who consider the worktop a space for aesthetic composition as well as functionality. It naturally pairs with the other elements in the Pots&Pans line, creating a coherent system centered on the pleasure of a lived-in kitchen.
