Alessi - White Porcelain Butter Dish

Alessi Butter Dish MW16 — The Table as an Expression of Style

There is something intimate about placing butter on the table: a daily ritual that, with the right object, becomes a small act of care. The butter dish designed by Marcel Wanders for Alessi transforms this moment into a detail of understated elegance, where the purity of white porcelain meets the reflection of mirror-polished stainless steel.

Why we chose it for you

Alessi was founded in 1921 on Lake Orta and, for over a century, has brought the signatures of the greatest international designers to everyday objects. Marcel Wanders - the Dutch designer known for his poetic, narrative approach to form - designed this butter dish with a raised decoration that makes it distinctive without being predictable. The contrast between the matte ceramic and the mirror-polished lid is a precise design choice: two materials, two visual temperatures, one object.
