Alessi — Port 90085 | Stainless Steel Tabletop Bin

There is something hypnotic about Port's circular perfection: a 18/10 stainless steel disc measuring thirty-seven centimeters in diameter and only six in depth, capable of transforming any surface into a silent stage. The metal's cool, precise sheen softens in everyday life, welcoming fruit, bread, scattered objects - everything domestic life brings with it - with a formal dignity rarely found in objects intended for such ordinary use. Lluís Clotet, a Catalan architect among the most refined voices in Mediterranean design, created Port with his customary mastery of essential geometry. His work has always oscillated between structural rigor and poetic sensitivity, and in this basket that tension finds an almost definitive resolution: the form is so obvious that it seems inevitable, yet it possesses a stage presence few objects manage to achieve. Made as part of the Alessi collection, Port belongs to the tradition of pieces that do not age because they belong to no particular era. We chose it for Stilmobili because it represents exactly the idea of furnishing that belongs to us: no superfluous ornament, no concessions to seasonal fashion. It is ideal for those who want to build a table - or an entire home - around a coherent and enduring visual grammar. It works on a black stone kitchen counter just as naturally as at the center of a light wood dining table. Project notes: polished 18/10 stainless steel, 37 cm diameter, 6 cm height. An object weighing just over a kilo that occupies space with the quiet authority of someone who has nothing to prove.
