Alessi — Plissé | De Lucchi Design Toaster

Alessi Plissé — When the Kitchen Counter Becomes a Gallery

Every morning, before the bread has even warmed, Plissé is already there, expressing its own point of view on the space. Its pleats — inspired by the folds of fabric in haute couture — transform an everyday gesture into something worth slowing down to observe. Designed by Michele De Lucchi, this toaster does not hide in a drawer: it occupies the counter with the confidence of someone who knows they have something to say.

Why We Chose It for You

Since 1921, Alessi has been creating objects that inhabit the boundary between industry and applied art. Plissé is a precise example of this philosophy: an appliance that meets all the practical needs of everyday life — six browning levels, control functions for easy and safe use — without ever giving up its formal identity. We selected it because it is one of those objects that changes the perception of an entire kitchen.

Ideal for

A gift for someone who treats the kitchen as a space to inhabit intentionally, not merely to use. A personal purchase for anyone who already knows Alessi and wants to bring that aesthetic consistency to their appliances as well. Or simply for anyone who has breakfast every morning and believes that even that moment deserves an object of equal caliber.
