Alessi — Plissé MDL17B MDL17B/USA | Black resin personal blender

There is something unexpectedly poetic in the way Plissé brings the everyday act of preparation - a morning smoothie, a quick sauce, a herb mixture - into dialogue with the language of form. The black thermoplastic resin body stands compact and resolute on the worktop: 35 centimeters of quiet presence, a silhouette that evokes the folds of pleated fabric and transforms an appliance into an object worthy of remaining on display. The 550 ml PCTG container with spout lid and the integrated mini chopper with blade protection system complete a device designed for those who refuse to choose between function and beauty. Plissé was born from the collaboration between Alessi and Michele De Lucchi, an architect and designer among the most influential figures in the contemporary Italian design scene, co-founder of the Memphis movement and for decades a critical and original voice in European design. In this project, De Lucchi brings his ability to read everyday objects as miniature architectures: every curve is a decision, every proportion a deliberate choice. The result is a 380 W appliance that never betrays its industrial nature, but elevates it through a formal rigor rooted in the great tradition of Italian design. We chose it for Stilmobili because it perfectly embodies the rarity we seek: objects that do not ask to be hidden, but to be lived with. It is designed for the kitchen of someone who considers design part of everyday life - for the creative professional, for the design enthusiast who refuses to compromise even when it comes to a toaster. The version with a USA plug also makes it a gift of refined international appeal. Project notes: height 35.4 cm, diameter 11.6 cm, capacity 550 cl, power 380 W. Body in black thermoplastic resin, container in PCTG, USA plug.
