Alessi — Plissé MDL14 MDL14 W/UK | De Lucchi filter coffee maker

There is something deeply domestic yet surprising about Plissé: its pleated surface, recalling the pleated fabric from which it takes its name, transforms an everyday gesture - preparing filter coffee - into a small aesthetic ritual. The white thermoplastic resin offers a soft, luminous materiality that can engage equally well with a contemporary kitchen or spaces with a more timeless character. The proportions are carefully calibrated: 28 cm wide, 35 cm high, a striking presence that does not overwhelm but defines. The design bears the signature of Michele De Lucchi, a key figure in Italian design, who first played a leading role in the Memphis Movement and later became a refined interpreter of a more intimate and humanistic modernism. With Plissé, De Lucchi does not simply design an appliance: he creates an object with its own formal dignity, in which the surface texture is not ornament but visual and tactile structure. The collaboration with Alessi - a manufacturer that has always stood at the boundary between industry and craftsmanship, between function and storytelling - finds one of its most coherent expressions here. We chose it for Stilmobili because it perfectly embodies that area of excellence where everyday life becomes material culture. It is the right piece for those who furnish with intention, who want even their coffee maker to say something about them. Ideal in a refined kitchen, a stylish open-plan space, or as a gift for those who know how to recognize the difference between an object and a design.
