Alessi — Plissé MDL13W MDL13W/USA | White induction milk frother

There is something almost sartorial about Plissé. The pleated surface that gives the design its name is not ornament for ornament's sake: it is rhythm, a texture that invites the hand, the way an everyday object ceases to be anonymous and becomes a presence. The white thermoplastic resin body houses silent induction technology, while the 18/10 stainless steel jug receives heat and releases steam - cappuccinos, frothed milk, thick hot chocolate. With a capacity of 350 milliliters and 600 watts of power, an everyday domestic gesture is transformed into a small ritual. Michele De Lucchi designed this kitchen appliance with the same design coherence that made him one of the masters of contemporary Italian design. Founder of AMDL CIRCLE, a leading figure in the Memphis movement and later a refined interpreter of a more temperate and humanistic modernism, De Lucchi brings to Plissé his ability to make form an emotional language before it is functional. The pleated surface evokes couture, crafted fabrics, and a form of craftsmanship remembered even when unseen. We chose it for Stilmobili because Plissé belongs to that rare category of objects capable of inhabiting the kitchen without disappearing into it. It is ideal for those who consider every household surface a field for composition, and for those who do not separate "important" design from everyday tools. It appeals to a demanding customer seeking aesthetic consistency even in the most habitual gestures - morning breakfast, the afternoon break. Project notes: version with USA plug (MDL13W/USA), ideal for North American markets or dedicated adapters. Compact dimensions - 17 × 12 × 22.5 cm - for a discreet presence on the countertop. Matte white finish, matching the complete Plissé line.
