Alessi — Plissé MDL13 MDL13 W/UK | White induction milk frother

There is something deeply domestic about the gesture of frothing milk, about the quiet wait for a cup to be prepared. Plissé transforms this moment into a small visual ritual: its pleated form - already evoked by the name - arises from a white thermoplastic resin surface reminiscent of hand-worked fabric, origami paper, and fine ceramics. The polished, precise 18/10 stainless steel jug engages in dialogue with the appliance's body, balancing artisanal warmth with industrial clarity. Six functions in a single object - cappuccino, hot milk, cold milk, hot chocolate, beverage heating, and blending - for versatility that never gives up formal elegance. Michele De Lucchi, one of the most significant figures in contemporary Italian design, developed Plissé for Alessi with the same philosophy that runs through his entire body of work: the object of use as a place where function becomes emotion. The pleated texture is not a decorative embellishment but a structural and sensory choice that offers a secure grip, reduces the perception of heat, and gives the appliance a sculptural presence on the kitchen counter. An object to admire even when it is not in use. Stilmobili chose Plissé because it embodies exactly the tension we seek in every piece in our selection: the ability to elevate everyday life without making it unattainable. It is the ideal appliance for those who furnish a kitchen with the same care with which they choose a sofa or a work of art - for those who consider the stovetop an aesthetic space, not merely a functional one.
