Alessi — Plissé MDL13 B MDL13 B/UK | De Lu induction milk frother

There is something domestic and almost ritualistic about preparing a cappuccino. Plissé transforms it into a moment of pure form. The black thermoplastic resin body stands out for its texture of dense, regular folds — the "plissé" of its name — which is not merely decorative but becomes the structural signature of the entire object: sartorial precision applied to a kitchen appliance. The 18/10 stainless steel jug completes the composition with its understated shine, creating a dialogue between materials that feels thoughtfully designed down to the last detail. Michele De Lucchi, a central figure in contemporary Italian design, created Plissé for Alessi with that rare ability to make sophisticated things feel familiar. De Lucchi — already a leading figure in the Memphis Movement in the 1980s and later the creator of architecture and objects for the biggest names in European industry — brings to this induction milk frother the same attention to archetypal form that characterizes all his work: an object that seems to have always existed, yet still surprises. At Stilmobili, we chose Plissé because it embodies exactly the philosophy that guides us: the kitchen as a place of material culture, where every object deserves the same care as a piece of furniture. It is designed for those who do not separate aesthetics from function, for those who consider their countertop a surface to inhabit intentionally. A noteworthy gift, but also a personal and deliberately conscious purchase. Project notes: 600 W power, induction technology, 35 cl capacity. Compact dimensions — 17 × 12 × 22.5 cm — for a visual presence that is anything but discreet. Available with a UK plug.
