Alessi — Plissé MDL12 W | White De Lucchi insulated carafe

There is something deeply domestic yet refined about the act of pouring tea. Alessi's Plissé jug transforms it into a small aesthetic ritual: the pleated surface in white thermoplastic resin discreetly catches the light, evoking the texture of pleated fabric, almost as if the warmth contained within found a tangible form in the outer casing. The double-walled thermal glass preserves heat and freshness with silent efficiency, while the tall, slender silhouette — 32 centimeters of presence on the kitchen counter — elegantly declares its place on a carefully arranged table. Michele De Lucchi, one of the most influential architects and designers on the Italian and European scene, signs Plissé with his customary ability to interpret everyday forms through a poetic lens. Founder of AMDL CIRCLE and a leading figure of the Memphis movement, De Lucchi brings to this project his vision of a design that speaks to sensory memory: pleating is not ornament, but structure and narrative. The collaboration with Alessi — the Crusinallo manufacturer long devoted to the dialogue between industry and authorship — produces objects that inhabit the home as thoughtfully conceived presences. At Stilmobili, we chose Plissé because it embodies exactly what we seek: a functional object that does not forgo its cultural dimension. It is the ideal jug for those who set the breakfast or afternoon table with the same care devoted to the rest of the home, for those who recognize in absolute white not an absence, but a precise choice. A gift of assured good taste, a purchase for oneself that stands the test of time. Project notes: capacity 100 cl, dimensions 20 × 11 × 32 cm, white thermoplastic resin with double-walled inner glass. Alessi collection, spring/summer lineup.
