Alessi — Plissé MDL12 GR | Green De Lucchi insulated carafe

There is something deeply tactile about the Plissé: the ribbed surface running vertically along the body of the jug is not merely an exercise in style, but an invitation to hold it in your hands and feel its regular rhythm beneath your fingers. Made of thermoplastic resin in a green reminiscent of light filtered through leaves, this insulated jug conceals a double-walled glass interior that quietly preserves the temperature of beverages - hot or cold - with remarkable effectiveness. An object that is both functional and visually eloquent. Michele De Lucchi, one of the leading figures in contemporary Italian design, created the Plissé with that rare ability to transform an everyday gesture into a moment of mindful beauty. A co-founder of the Memphis movement in the 1980s, he later arrived at a more restrained and humanistic design maturity. De Lucchi has built a long-standing dialogue with Alessi, in which form always tells us more than what it contains. The reference to textile pleating is immediate: a fold, a structure, a texture that belongs to our collective sensory memory. At Stilmobili, we chose the Plissé because it represents exactly what we look for in a kitchen or tableware object: the ability to make everyday routines special. It is designed for those who do not want to choose between aesthetics and practicality, for those who enjoy carefully served morning tea, for those who consider breakfast a ritual and the table an extension of their personal taste. The green of this version makes it particularly well suited to bright, fresh spring-summer settings. Project notes: capacity 100 cl, dimensions 20 × 11 × 32 cm. Part of the Alessi Palinsesto spring/summer collection.
