Alessi — Plissé MDL12 G | Gray De Lucchi insulated carafe

There is something deeply textile about the Plissé. The regular pleated surface that runs along the body of the jug is not mere ornament: it is a design gesture that transforms a functional object into a tactile sculpture. The gray thermoplastic resin - a material chosen precisely for its insulating qualities and its ability to produce crisp surfaces - comes alive beneath the fingers like a rigid fabric, a couture pleat translated into the industrial language of domestic design. Inside, the double-walled borosilicate glass preserves the temperature of beverages, hot or cold, with the technical discretion that distinguishes great everyday objects. Michele De Lucchi created the Plissé with the same craftsmanship and formal curiosity that have made him one of the most recognizable designers on the international scene. Trained in the radical design movement and later a leading figure in the Memphis Group in the 1980s, De Lucchi has moved through the eras of design without ever losing sight of an authentic pursuit - one that places the hand, the gesture, and the material at the center of everything. The Plissé is a mature synthesis of this journey: rigorous in function, surprising in form. At Stilmobili, we chose the Plissé because it feels equally at home on the morning tea table and at the center of a carefully arranged table setting. It is the ideal object for those who love understated design, and for those seeking pieces capable of telling a story without raising their voice. Its gray color makes it versatile and contemporary, equally at home in minimalist and more eclectic interiors. Project notes: capacity 100 cl, dimensions 20 × 11 × 32 cm. Thermoplastic resin body, double-walled glass interior. Alessi collection, spring/summer range.
