Alessi — Plissé MDL09 MDL09 G/CH | Michele De Lucchi designer blender

There is something unexpectedly sculptural about the Plissé: the surface that gives it its name - that rhythmic sequence of vertical folds running across the gray thermoplastic resin body - is not decoration but structure. A formal grammar that guides the hand, stiffens the volume, and captures the morning's grazing light on the kitchen counter. The graduated PCTG jug fits with millimetric precision, transparent and light, a visual counterpoint to the opaque solidity of the base. Seven hundred quiet watts contained in a form that does not shout its function. Michele De Lucchi designed this blender at one of the most mature points in his career, when simplicity was never impoverishment but conscious synthesis. An architect and designer among the most authoritative figures on the Italian scene - already a leading figure in the Memphis movement, then a refined interpreter of tempered and humanistic modernism - De Lucchi applies the same attention to everyday objects that he brings to architecture. The Plissé was born from a precise question: can an appliance be as beautiful as a designer object? The answer is this quiet gray volume that occupies the kitchen counter without overwhelming it. We chose it for Stilmobili because it perfectly embodies the boundary in which we live: between function and form, between domestic use and design culture. It is the right object for those who furnish with intention, for those who see the kitchen as an aesthetic space as much as a functional one. An absolute-quality gift, a purchase for oneself that needs no justification. Project notes: Anthracite gray thermoplastic resin body. Graduated PCTG jug, capacity 1.5 liters. Power: 700W.
